Below is a step-by-step guideline to perform an Import on Spend Manager.

  1. From the landing page, click on the 'Imports’ module.

  • To search for the previous imports, utilize the 'Import type' drop-down to filter and display specific import types. 
  • You may also utilize the 'Job Progress' drop-down to filter by job status. Click 'Apply' to implement the chosen filters.
  • You will now be able to view your import history. 
    Additionally, you can export these files and execute a "rollback" in case you've made errors and wish to revert to your previous data.

2. To upload a new import file onto Spend Manager, click the button labelled 'Import'.

3. Utilize the drop-down filter to choose the 'Import Type' you wish to perform.
4. The system will generate an import file, click to download. Find the file in your designated downloads folder.

5. After opening the import file, carefully read and adhere to the guidelines for ‘inputting data’. 
Scroll to the right to explore additional standard fields.

6. Confirm that all MSISDNs are found on Vodacom Spend Manager. 
    If not found, use the support hotline - 0104920668 to log a ticket for line provisioning.

7. Once complete, ‘Save’ the file to a readily accessible folder on your computer. 

8. After saving the import file, return to the portal site and select 'Next’. 

9. Click within the dotted box to ‘upload’ the import file from your computer. Alternatively, employ the drag-and-drop method to upload. 
10. After import file has been validated, click 'Next
' to proceed. Otherwise, review the saved file to ensure accurate data input.

11. Utilize the drop-down filter to choose the 'Key field’ which acts as a unique identifier for each record or entry in import file.
12.  Confirm that all parameters are marked correctly, then proceed by clicking 'Next'. 

13. In the final step, review the import process summary and click 'Confirm' if everything is in order.

14. Return to the Import homepage. To verify the success of your import file, monitor the ‘Job Progress’. 
Alternatively, check your email inbox for a notification detailing the timeline of events and the status of the imported file.
