1. Click the product ‘gear’ at the top of the landing page.


  2. Click the Business Area Tab on the menu bar at the top of the page.
  3. Assuming that this is your first business area, type in ‘Cost Centre’ under ‘Primary Business Area’. If it is not, then add ‘Cost Centre’ under ‘Additional Business Area 2’. Ensure that the Enabled box is ticked.


  4. Then click ‘Save’.
  5. Once complete, go back to the landing page by click the ‘Vodacom logo’ at the top of the page.
  6. Click ‘People & Organization’.


  7. Hover over ‘Business Areas’ and then click ‘Cost Centers’.

  8. Click ‘Add’.


  9. Fill in the required fields; ‘Name’ and ‘Code’ as per your cost centers. 
  10. Then click ‘Save’.
  11. Thereafter click the ‘Vodacom logo’ at the top of the page. 
  12. Click the ‘Spend Manager’ Module.


  13. Hover over on ‘Explore’, under Connectivity click ‘Subscribers'.


  14. Go to the ‘number’ you need to assign to the newly added cost center. Ensure that the number has not be associated to anyone. To confirm this, you will see ‘unknown’ under associated to.
  15. Click the red drop-down arrow.
  16. Then click ‘Assign Subscriber’.
     
  17. On the Assign to field click the ‘Cost Center’ tab.
  18. Under name, look for the newly added cost center – which in this case is ‘Cost Center 1’.
  19. Then Click ‘Assign’ once complete.


    You will then see that the mobile number has been assigned to the cost center.
